Working with agencies

What we translate

Over the ten plus years of our collaboration, Elizabeth and Marion have specialised in legal and business documents. We tend to stay away from heavily financial documents; the same is true for medical documents - we only translate light medical documents. For more information about our specialisms, see the page: What We Translate.

CAT tools

We work mainly with Trados (SDL Trado Studio 2014) and Déjà Vu. If you work with MemoQ, you can send us a bilingual Word file to work with.

We can send you your files as clean Word documents or as sdlxliff files. If you are working in MemoQ, we can also send back your files as xlf files, if you have provided us with xlf files in the first place.

Turnaround times

We aim to translate and check at least 2,000 words a day. We can handle more words per day, but we like to leave ourselves enough time in case a job turns out to be more difficult than expected and we need extra time.

We know that being contactable during business hours is very important for the agencies we work with. Because both Elizabeth and Marion monitor emails, we aim to respond to all emails within the hour - or ideally, within 20 minutes. If we don't respond within this time, it might be because we are working on a very big assignment and need to meet that deadline! If you really need to contact us urgently, please give us a call.

What agencies say about us

We have good working relationships with our agencies - and  try to be open and honest in our dealings. Please contact us for references.
